Logo Circutec

Logo

The logo takes on a clear communicator function and is a central element of external perception. We use a word mark with a form language that embodies the character of the brand. The logo is used in all applications – with the exception of the social media area and Favicon. In these cases, a shortened form is used, which consists of the letter "c" from the word mark.

Clear space

The clear space defines the minimum space around the logo which neither text nor other graphic elements may be placed in or protrude into.

This clearspace is 1x all around. The reference size x corresponds to the logo height. To create visual balance, the upper distance of the clearspace is aligned to the x-height of the logo.

Use of color

The primary colors for the logo are red and white: On a white background, it appears in red, on a red background it appears in white. This creates a high level of contrast and optimal legibility.

In most cases, the logo should be placed on a color area – this is the best way to ensure legibility. Positioning on photos is also permitted; but it is essential to ensure adequate contrast to guarantee legibility and long-distance impact.

If four-color printing is not possible, the logo can be used in black.

Logo don’ts

To preserve the integrity and recognition of our brand, it is important to ensure that the logo is always used correctly. Here, you will find examples of frequent errors to be avoided. These don’ts show how incorrect adjustments, colors or positioning can impair the impact of our brand identity.

Logo sizes for standard formats

Logo size and type area go hand in hand when designing the layout for standard formats. To determine the optimal logo size, the length of the format diagonal (z) is divided by 4. The resulting value corresponds to the logo width with clearspace (y).
The type area is defined by the logo height (x), which corresponds to the clearspace.

Calculation example:
Format diagonal DIN A4 = 363.74 mm
363.74 mm ÷ 4 = 90.935mm

The calculated values are rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.
Logo width clearspace DIN A4: 90 mm

Special rule for letterhead

If a more reduced design is required, the logo on the letterhead may be scaled down to 70% of its standard width (including the clearspace).
The text area (type area) remains unaffected by this adjustment.

Calculation example
Diagonal of DIN A4 format = 363.74 mm

363.74 mm ÷ 4 × 0.7 = 63.65 mm

The calculated values are rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.

Logo width for letterhead (DIN A4): 64 mm

Logo position

The logo is the central brand element. It can either lead into a medium or act as a sender. To enable the most flexible use possible, it can be positioned in all format corners.

Type area

For standard print formats, the type area – in which all text and image elements are arranged – is derived from the height of the word mark. The bars of the type area correspond to the height of the word mark all around.

For extreme formats or on small advertising media (e.g. pens), it may be necessary to position the logo so that the distances to the edge of the media are smaller than the height of the word mark. In these cases, good legibility is the top priority.

Short form for social media and Favicon

For Favicon and the social media platforms, a reduced version of the logo is used to guarantee legibility. Only the short form of the word mark is used as the profile image in social media and Favicon in the browser tab.
The height of the short form is 50% of the format and it is centered.

FAQ

In our FAQ area, you will find answers to the most important questions relating to the implementation of our brand guidelines. Here you will receive fast and practical support for a consistent brand communication.

Yes, our logo is available in different variants: a standard format and a short format for social media. Both variants are available in the corporate colors. The red versions are the main versions and should be used wherever possible. The white and black versions are used if the background or production require color restrictions.

The clearspace defines the minimum distance to be complied with around the logo to guarantee visibility. The height of the image mark as the distance to other design elements should be complied with as a minimum.

No, the logo may only be used in the specified colors. A free choice of colors is not permitted in order to preserve consistency in the brand identity.
